Terms of Service

The terms that govern your organisation's access to and use of Abbu, our bilingual AI coworker for teams.

Last updated 17 June 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service form an agreement between Abbu and the organisation that accesses or uses our service, together with the individuals who use it on that organisation's behalf. By creating an account, connecting Abbu to your team's messaging, or otherwise using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation.

This is an initial version of our terms for an early-stage product. We expect our service and these terms to evolve, and we may update them as described in the section on changes below. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of the Service

Abbu is a bilingual Arabic and English AI assistant for teams. It is designed to help your organisation work with its own documents, such as employee handbooks, contracts, and policies, by answering questions about them and pointing back to the source material it relied on. Abbu can also help draft paperwork, such as letters, contracts, presentations, and spreadsheets, based on your organisation's templates, in both Arabic and English.

Most teams use Abbu directly within Telegram, where they already chat, and organisation administrators can also use a web dashboard to manage their organisation's setup. The features, capabilities, and availability of the service may change as we continue to develop it.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

Abbu is intended for use by organisations and their authorised members for legitimate business purposes. To use the service, you and your organisation must be capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law.

Each organisation designates one or more administrators who set up and manage the organisation's account, including inviting and removing members and configuring access. The organisation and its administrators are responsible for the activity of their members, for keeping account credentials secure, and for ensuring that the people they grant access are entitled to use the service and to handle the content involved. Please let us know promptly at basil@abbu.io if you believe an account has been accessed without authorisation.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Abbu lawfully, responsibly, and consistently with these terms. You are responsible for the content you upload and the way you use the service's outputs.

  • Do not use the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or abusive purpose, or in violation of the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or other applicable laws.
  • Do not upload or process content that you do not have the right to use, or that infringes the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person.
  • Do not attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent the security of the service, or to access another organisation's data or undermine the separation between organisations.
  • Do not interfere with or disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, or attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell the service except as permitted by law.
  • Do not use the service to generate content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise harmful.

5. Customer Content and Ownership

Your organisation keeps ownership of the documents, templates, queries, and other content it provides to or generates through the service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

To operate the service for you, you grant Abbu a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display your content solely as needed to provide, maintain, secure, and support the service for your organisation, and as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and any necessary permissions to provide the content you submit and to allow us to process it for these purposes.

6. AI Output and Accuracy

Abbu uses artificial intelligence, including third-party large-language-model technology, to answer questions and draft documents. The service is designed to ground its answers in your organisation's documents and to cite the source it relied on. Even so, AI-generated answers, citations, and drafts may be incomplete, inaccurate, or otherwise contain errors, and the service may not always identify the correct source or capture every relevant detail.

You should treat Abbu's output as a starting point and have a qualified person review it before relying on or acting upon it. Abbu does not provide legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice, and its output is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. You are responsible for any decisions you make and any documents you finalise based on the service's output.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep the service available and reliable, but it is provided on an as is and as available basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time, and access may be affected by maintenance, updates, technical issues, or factors outside our control, including third-party messaging and infrastructure providers.

Because Abbu is an early-stage product, features may be added, modified, or removed as we continue to develop it.

8. Intellectual Property

The Abbu software, dashboard, brand, name, logos, and all related materials, together with any improvements and underlying technology, are owned by Abbu or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms do not transfer any of those rights to you.

Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant your organisation a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the service for your internal business purposes during the term of your use. Any rights not expressly granted are reserved to Abbu.

9. Confidentiality and Security

We understand that the content you entrust to Abbu may be sensitive. We treat your organisation's content as confidential and use it to provide and support the service, consistent with these terms and our Privacy Policy. The service is hosted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is designed so that each organisation's data is logically separated from that of other organisations.

We apply industry-standard technical and organisational measures designed to protect your content against unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. No system or method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. Where we engage third parties such as cloud and hosting infrastructure, large-language-model providers, and messaging platforms to help deliver the service, we share only what is needed for them to perform their role.

10. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the service at any time, and an organisation administrator may request to close the organisation's account by contacting us at basil@abbu.io. We may suspend or terminate access to the service, in whole or in part, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached, if use of the service poses a security, legal, or operational risk, or where we are required to do so.

Where reasonable and lawful, we will aim to give notice before suspending or terminating access. On termination, your right to use the service ends. The handling of your content following termination is described in our Privacy Policy, and provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service or its output will meet your requirements or be error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Abbu will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the service are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law where relevant to the handling of personal data.

The parties will seek to resolve any dispute amicably and in good faith. Where a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts and authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

13. Changes to These Terms and Contact

As an early-stage product, Abbu and these terms will continue to develop. We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to the service, our practices, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, such as by posting the updated terms on our site or notifying organisation administrators. Your continued use of the service after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms; if you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the service.

If you have any questions about these terms or the service, please contact us at basil@abbu.io. This is an initial version of our Terms of Service and may be updated as Abbu evolves.
